PanSNPdb comprises 1,719 unrelated individuals among 71 populations from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. PanSNPdb contains the genotyping data with Affymetrix GeneChip Human Mapping 50K Xba array. The final dataset contained the genotypes for 54,794 autosomal SNPs and 1,204 SNPs mapping to X chromosome.

PanSNPdb incorporates human variations from various public databases :

PanSNPdb provides 6 main features including :

  1. Geographical view with google map (this feature displays auxilary information such as ethnicity, language, linguistic classification and locale of each population)
  2. SNP search (from gene, chromosomal position, associated disease, SNP ID and link from cytogenetic band with graphical interface)
  3. CNV search (from chromosomal position only).
  4. Haplotype and LD Block (for 75 Pan-Asian populations including 4 populations from original HapMap).
  5. GBrowse (graphic visualization for SNPs and CNVs.)
  6. Exporting genotype.

To download the genotype data, user must login to the website. For new user, the form at Genome Institute Registration Form for Web Application Access must be completed online.
